A Message from the President
I am delighted and honoured to be patron of Barnardos.
There can be no doubt that Barnardos continued work to keep children at the centre of national debate has brought the beginnings of much positive change for many disadvantaged children in Ireland.
Because of Barnardos’ valuable work thousands of children and families around Ireland, whose lives are filled with challenges and difficulties, are enabled to see a light at the end of the tunnel. The early intervention of Barnardos gives many children in the country the chance to see beyond a landscape of sadness and hardship to a brighter future.
I thank Barnardos for all it does to create a positive change in the lives of our most vulnerable young citizens and I wish them continued success with their vital work for the year to come.
