DESCRIPTION:Support/information meeting for men whose children were adopted
  historically in Ireland. This group is for birth fathers who are in searc
 h or reunion or exploring contact with their adult sons or daughters.\n\nB
 arnardos Birth History Service is pleased to facilitate a morning looking 
 at the experiences of men whose children have been adopted historically in
  Ireland.\n\nSince the new adoption legislation was introduced in 2022 som
 e men are now being contacted by their adopted son or daughter\, seeking c
 ontact\, information or reunion. Also\, some men are already in reunion wi
 th their adopted adult son or daughter and seeking support in navigating t
 hese relationships. The adoption may have taken place 30 or more year ago.
 \n\nThis meeting will be of interest to men who would like to explore what
  it means to have contact with an adult adopted child\, and for those who 
 already have had contact or who are just seeking information and support a
 round search and reunion. This will be a confidential support meeting faci
 litated by experienced staff of the Birth History Service Team.\n\nSome of
  the topics we will cover:\n\n\n 	The father’s experience of the adoptio
 n of a child\n 	Adopted people’s experiences growing up and of search an
 d reunion with their birth/natural parents.\n 	Contact with adult adopted
