In Person Parent’s Support Morning- Cork

Barnardos Post-Adoption Team Cork invites adoptive parents to our next in-person support session. This session will be an opportunity for parents to meet other adoptive parents in a structured and supportive setting whilst also experiencing some self-regulating or grounding techniques. The session will draw upon the principles of sensory attachment intervention (SAI) and will look at strategies you can use to self-regulate your own emotions but also to help you support your child manage their feelings too. There will be some opportunity also for sharing and / or simply listening to others’ experiences of the highs and lows of raising an adopted child.
