Barnardos Post adoption Service are delighted to arrange an evening specifically for adoptive fathers. Parenting in the modern world is not simple and adoptive parenting is parenting plus! While our parenting groups are always well attended by adoptive fathers, we hope an evening focussed on the particular dynamics and challenges that can arise for adoptive Dads will be a positive and thought provoking experience.
Adoptive Dad’s of children of all ages are welcome to attend and we hope the evening will be supportive and non judgemental.

• Helping find balance between work and home
• Managing the changing role of fatherhood
• Specific challenges and joys of becoming a Dad through adoption
• Coping with challenging behaviour and anxiety in adopted children.
• Managing other peoples interest in your family
