Barnardos Post-Adoption Team invites recent adoptive parents (broadly meaning parents who have adopted within the last two years) of children aged 7 years or younger to our Recent Adopters Online Parent Information and Support meeting. Please feel free to contact us if you are outwith these age guidelines to discuss whether it would be helpful to attend.
The meeting will be an opportunity to meet and connect with other adoptive parents in a structured and supportive setting. All parents will be welcome to share their experiences or simply listen to others.
There will also be the opportunity to hear from Barnardos Post-Adoption Project Workers about nurturing attachments, the impact of early trauma, and helpful approaches that may assist parents in supporting their children and their own wellbeing.
